The application of vibrating wire crack gauges in the Internet of Things industry

The working principle of the vibrating wire crack gauge:

 

The vibrating wire crack gauge is composed of a heat-treated vibrating wire detection element, a stress-relieved spring with one end connected to the vibrating wire and the other end connected to the sliding pull rod. As the sliding pull rod is pulled, the spring begins to elongate and causes an increase in the tension of the vibrating string. The vibration frequency of the steel string also changes accordingly. The tension is directly proportional to the elongation of the spring. Therefore, the change in displacement can be achieved by measuring the tension of the steel string, that is, the change in the vibration frequency of the steel string. The RS485 vibrating wire crack meter (sensor) acquisition card module of Mirang Technology Company can also be used to convert the natural frequency signal of the vibrating wire crack meter (sensor) into displacement and output it via the MODBUS-RTU protocol via RS485. The function of calibrating different vibrating wire sensors by users can be achieved through serial port instructions. After the user completes the calibration operations of temperature coefficient, linear coefficient, starting point and temperature, linear output is achieved based on the calibration coefficient. The part outside the calibration is regarded as dead zone. ‌
