Application Cases of Miran Electronic Rulers Installed Externally on Hydraulic Cylinders

Hydraulic cylinders are generally divided into pneumatic cylinders and oil cylinders. They are two crucial linear actuating components in automated equipment and heavy machinery. Their common core function is to convert the energy of fluids (pneumatic or hydraulic energy) into mechanical energy, and output linear reciprocating force and motion. Their core functions are: providing linear motion and power: pushing, pulling, lifting, pressing down, and clamping workpieces or machine parts. Load-bearing and force transmission: Directly bear the workload and transfer the force generated by fluid pressure to the required position.

After installing the displacement sensor, precise closed-loop control can be achieved: directly measuring the extension length of the piston rod, it can precisely stop at any intermediate position (multi-point positioning), rather than being limited to two endpoints or synchronously controlling the coordinated operation of multiple cylinders. It can ensure the safety and reliability of equipment: Displacement sensors can immediately detect that the cylinder has not reached or exceeded the target position, and can immediately stop the machine and alarm, avoiding damage to components. Therefore, in improving the precision, safety and intelligence level of equipment, especially in modern factories that emphasize flexible manufacturing, quality traceability and less manpower operation, displacement sensors have become standard configuration.

The signals can also be converted into standard 0-5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA DC signals through built-in or external V/A transmission modules. It can also transmit control requirements over long distances.
